Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This Sunday, November 8, is St. Martin's Day, which has become one of my favorite holidays of the year. I know that to the rest of the world, it's just a random Sunday, but to us, who are a part of this St. Martin's community, it's a little bit extra. This year, our Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Daniel Richards, will be joining us for the 10:30 AM service. He will teach Sunday School at 9:15 AM. Please come and hear him and his call to our church and diocese.
At 6 PM, please come to our church celebration. This year we have so much to celebrate. First, St. Martin's has served our community for 75 years! We've worshiped, served, taught, and been a thriving community of God through it all. I am so deeply grateful! Second, we are rounding out a successful capital campaign. Soon we will be DEBT FREE!!!! And finally, let's just gather, eat great food, enjoy each other's fellowship, tell stories about St. Martin's, and rejoice. St. Martin's will provide the BBQ. We have a whole hog and two cases of pork shoulders. Bring a side or dessert to share, and let's have fun!
Peace,
Mitch
